Well, Egg did it again!! She is my loctician, and colorist. Oh yeah, she is also my wife/partner/boo thang!! She is one of the few people who can touch my hair, and one of two white people who can touch my locs. The other is bestie, and she will definitely be doing that around Dec 14. Around that time. If you don’t know what is happening around that time, hop onto my page, to go through my few lives, and some writings as to the event. Anyway, let’s hop back on subject, shall we…
Egg hooked me up with space bunz. These turned out significantly better than what I could ever accomplish(yet, I should say.) It was frustrating, as my locs, would not lock in the right position. I have a lot of hair, and having to wrangle all of them myself is a big no… So, I need “professional” hands to help. Now, Egg has not been to school, and does not have a license, but has had a lot of women ask her if she could retwist and color, or flat out start, their locs. Egg is like, hell no!!! She does not have a license so she is not going near anyone’s hair, except mine, and besties, and another of her close friends. They both trust her. I trust her. We all get a pass. No one else will, and honestly, I understand why. If she accidentally messes up someone’s hair, or worse, she could be in a lot of trouble. Plus, she just does not want to be all up in people’s hair all day, as a profession. No knock on stylists. They can transform people’s lives. I firmly believe this. And, it doesn’t seem to be an easy job, to me. So, while Egg can do hair, it is not her vibe. And that’s okay.
Pics below were from yesterday!

I can, and do, use simpler styles that don’t require the assistance of Egg, but, for something like space bunz, I definitely need her help!!! There you have it! Space Bunz!! They felt comfy, and did not feel like my head was tight. Y’all know that feeling when your hair is pulled tooo tightly? Well, if I can ever get my locs into space bunz, it would feel tight, almost painful. Yesterday’s style felt light and loose, and conveys it. I love my locs!1 They are so versatile. Not to mention, they have so much energy stored in them. It is definitely time for a wash, color, and retwist. Time to call Salon Egg to see if I can book some time with my favorite loctician.
Also, I was wearing my Lavender Menace shirt, a then, derogatory reference, made up by Betty Friedan for lesbians in the feminist movement. The phrase was later reclaimed by lesbian activists to protest their exclusion from mainstream feminism.

Solidarity to all my lesbian sisters, and cisters!
